Maxam exhibits at SteinExpo 2014
Beginning of September Maxam Tire exhibited OTR and Construction tires at SteinExpo
Homberg (DE), September 8th, 2014
The SteinExpo exhibition is held every three years and the location is surely the most stunning of any trade show, being Europe’s largest basalt quarry at Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden in Germany. The site offers 180,000 sq. m of exhibition space and, at SteinExpo 2014 in September, 254 exhibitors from the building materials and equipment industries showed off their products in these unique surroundings.

One of these exhibitors was Luxembourg-based MAXAM Tire, whose stand included two products from its range of construction tyres – the 15.5/80-24 MS902 for backhoes and the 10.00-20 MS908 for wheeled excavators – and four tyres from the company’s comprehensive OTR range of all-steel radials. These were the 24.00R35 MS401 E4; 29.5R25 MS405 E4; 23.5R25 MS301 E3 and 23.5R25 MS501 L5.

A record 48,130 visitors attended the four-day show and the organisers’ feedback is that 20 per cent of these were from countries outside Germany and 70 per cent of visitors described themselves as ‘decision makers’ for their respective companies.

Ian Thomas, CEO of MAXAM Tire, was pleased at the “high level of interest” shown by visitors in the MAXAM range. He said: "It is a fundamental part of MAXAM’s marketing strategy to have a presence at all the major trade shows in our sector so that we can meet and talk to end users and let them see for themselves the quality of our tyres." Speaking of SteinExpo, he said: "We exhibit at shows all over the world, but this has to be the one with the most impressive backdrop."
