Luxembourg, August 23rd, 2013
AIMEX, the Asia-Pacific’s International Mining Exhibition, is one of the most important shows of its kind in the world. Held recently at the Sydney Olympic Park, this year AIMEX attracted over 650 exhibitors and more than 12,700 visitors.

A first-time exhibitor this year was MAXAM Tire, the specialist manufacturer of industrial and OTR radial tyres, whose impressive 224 sq. m stand showed 11 tyres from their range, from smaller industrial tyres up to the brand new, MS 403 giant OTR radial, size 33.00 R51.

Said Ian Thomas, CEO of MAXAM Tire: "We wanted to make a real impression, hence the large stand and number of exhibits and, judging from the interest and number of visitors to our stand over the four days, we certainly succeeded."

MAXAM brought staff over from their Luxembourg HQ to man the stand, assisted by representatives from the company's partners and regional dealers. They were kept busy throughout the show and Ian Thomas paid tribute to their efforts and to MAXAM's marketing coordinator Anne-Gaëlle Halter for her organisation.

"It was a terrific show for us," said Thomas, "not only in terms of the number of visitors but for the quality of the enquiries. These specialist exhibitions are a vital part of our marketing strategy and we will be showing MAXAM tyres at shows in Essen, Beijing and Las Vegas to emphasise our global presence."
