MAXAM Tire Debuts VF Technology at the 2022 National Farm Machinery Show

The MAXAM Agricultural Solution for Improved Tire Performance & Reduced Soil Compaction

Danvers, Massachusetts, February 1st, 2022 – MAXAM Tire is pleased to announce the market release of VF (Very High Flexion) tires to the global agricultural market. MAXAM has engineered the VF agricultural series to provide the industry with high-speed/load solutions designed to minimize soil compaction while delivering improved traction and product performance. MAXAM Tire will be showcasing the advancement and growth of their agricultural product offering at the National Farm Machinery Show, Louisville, KY, Feb 16-19th, booth #7766 in the South Wing.

The MAXAM AgriXtra N (Narrow) family of products is designed to deliver high clearance tractors and self-propelled high clearance sprayers with a solution that can improve productivity and/or reduce soil compaction. Featuring MAXAM’s signature premium 45° lug profile that provides excellent traction and stability ensuring minimal vibration when roading, the AgriXtra N VF380/90R46 will be the first of many VF tires introduced to the global agricultural market this year.

Engineered through the development of cutting-edge rubber compounding and casing materials, the new MAXAM VF technology products can support very high levels of tire deflection up to the tire’s rated speed capability.  The VF Series will allow customers to carry 40% more tire load at standard air pressures or operate at 40% less air pressure for the given tire load. Depending on the customer’s need, the VF performance advantage can deliver either reduced soil compaction or the ability to carry heavier loads without compromising traction, while delivering the improved productivity farmers and growers are seeking.

In the years to come, MAXAM’s VF technology tires coupled with new OEM vehicle designs that are equipped with onboard inflation equipment will ensure that the optimal tire footprint will be available to carry the load in the field or on the road, ensuring growers’ profits. “Our VF Technology is just another milestone in MAXAM’s development of product solutions for not only agriculture but as well the mining, forestry, construction, and industrial tire markets. MAXAM Tire is committed to delivering innovative business solutions in every tire segment we serve,” says Greg Gilland, Vice President of Global Agriculture at MAXAM Tire.

When should you replace solid OTR tires?

May 16, 2023 Technical Bulletin

While solid OTR tires require zero maintenance and are built to last much longer than foam filled pneumatics, they still have a certain life span. Although these tires don’t require the maintenance pneumatic off-the-road tires require, MAXAM recommends operations inspect their solid OTR tires every now and then.
