Position Report – Material Handling Segment Manager
Summary/Objective
The goals of Maxam Tire will be to drive the MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT business forward by meeting or exceeding plans by working directly with Maxam Regional Sales Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Sailun Manufacturing Factory Marketing department.
Essential Functions
- Drive the MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT business to meet or exceed business plans.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT business in your assigned geography and report on trends and major events impacting business performance to senior management.
- Solicit and manage the MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT business in assigned geography and/or assigned account base.
- Utilize existing product line and future product developments to identify and secure new businesses opportunities with MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT customer base.
- Identify new market trends and market changes based on the MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT future product development plans.
- Provide interface with the Material Handling Segment Manager and organization on current and expected MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT Customers business plans.
- Work directly with MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT Customers to pursue additional global positioning of Maxam products.
- Work collaboratively with Regional Sales Managers within your assigned geography.
- Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy for MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT Customer placed products to produce the highest long-term market share.
- Required collaboration and coordination of engineering and product development to exceed MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT Customer requirements.
- Collaborate with internal departments to design and develop new services for enhancing business growth.
- Reviews, analyzes and projects sales performance against programs to determine strategy effectiveness.
- Ensures effective control of results and takes corrective action to guarantee achievement of goals and objectives.
- Manages and resolves all issues in cross functional process of delivery to MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT customer.
- Reviews and analyzes performances against MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT business plans by customer in the format of Daily/Monthly Sales Reports.
- Represent Maxam at Trade Shows, Trade Association Meetings, and MATERIAL HANDLING ACCOUNT Segment sponsored events to promote brand equity and product availability.

Travel
The position requires frequent travel to visit customer accounts throughout assigned responsibility. The expected overnight travel is 50% or greater.
Required Education and Experience
Undergraduate 4-year degree desired.
Experience in the industry outweighs education requirement.
